let's make this the biggest YouTube gathering event ever! this is a discussion/planning place for 2009.

imagine simultaneous gatherings around the world linked together. the chance to party in person with other youtubers. the chance to meet close to home or to travel anywhere a gathering is held.

there could be "convention" style activities such as video production workshops or discussions of youtube topics.

Sept 9, 2009 is not really a convenient day. It is midweek at the start of the school year. 999 could actually be a 2-part event with the in-person meetup on 889 and a video posting celebration about the experience on 999.

for now this channel is about finding out who is interested in a broad focus 999 event and getting feedback on how it could be done.

	BooderMcDoo (1 month ago) my first vote for the gathering would be Chicago and second would be Dallas and then Houston. all would be great choices but with chicago being more cetral and north then it could easily attract the same crowd from 888 as well as new people who felt toronto was just a bit too far. im oh so super excited about it and its still a looong ways off.
